Overview

Safelite is seeking an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee for their Warwick, Rhode Island location. This role involves hands-on and classroom training to become a proficient auto glass technician. Trainees will learn to repair and replace auto glass, calibrate automotive safety systems, and deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to high-quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in hands-on and classroom training for auto glass installation and repair
  • Assist in recalibrating automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass testing to achieve Safelite certification as a Technician
  • Safely operate company vehicles and use company-issued tools
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
