Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee position at Safelite offers paid training to become a proficient auto glass technician. Trainees will learn to perform glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations while embodying the Safelite Spirit of service and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive hands-on and classroom training in auto glass installation and repair
  • Assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles and use company-issued tools
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Required skills

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with laws
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and interpreting English
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and with chemicals
