Overview

As an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will play a key role in providing exceptional vehicle glass repair and replacement services. Working in either a shop or mobile setting, you'll benefit from comprehensive training and utilize advanced tools and technology to ensure quality and safety in your work. This position emphasizes customer service and offers a pathway to develop a fulfilling career in the automotive glass industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently and safely.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
  • Operate Safelite's tools and technology, including True Seal and Mobile Resource Management.
  • Communicate with customers in-person, via text, and on the phone.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
