Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee role at Safelite focuses on providing vehicle glass repair and replacement services both in the shop and through the company's Mobile Glass Shop. The position involves hands-on tasks, utilizing tools and technology to ensure safety, quality, and excellent customer service while fostering career growth within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently and safely.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing.
  • Operate Safelite's tools and technologies, including the Mobile Resource Management technology.
  • Communicate with scheduled customers in-person, via text, and phone.
  • Clean customer vehicles after every job.
  • Present and promote Safelite promotional items and services to customers.
  • Comply with all company policies and standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and handling of chemicals.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with laws.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
