Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite will engage in hands-on training to gain the skills necessary for providing vehicle glass repair and replacement services. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and exceptional customer service as technicians work both in-shop and mobile settings, utilizing industry-leading tools and technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services safely and efficiently
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing
  • Operate Safelite tools and technologies proficiently
  • Communicate effectively with customers in-person and remotely
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles after every job
  • Comply with company policies and standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Safelite SafeTech certification
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Basic proficiency in English for communication and technical directions
