Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite will undergo training to become a proficient auto glass technician. The role involves learning to perform glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations, with the aim of achieving the Safelite SafeTech certification upon completion of training.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing
  • Provide additional services and products
  • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools safely
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Professionalism and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication in English, both oral and written
