Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee role at Safelite is designed for individuals looking to start a career in auto glass repair and replacement. Trainees will receive comprehensive training, including hands-on experience and classroom instruction, to become proficient technicians and earn Safelite SafeTech certification.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn and apprentice the Safelite way through hands-on training
  • Assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and troubleshoot issues
  • Provide additional services and products to customers
  • Safely operate company vehicles and tools
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
