Safelite is looking for an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves being trained to become a proficient auto glass technician, completing a structured training program, and earning the Safelite SafeTech certification. The focus is on delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete hands-on and classroom training to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Safely operate company vehicles and utilize issued tools
  • Maintain high standards in customer service and job quality

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools
