Overview

As an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you'll receive hands-on training to become proficient in auto glass repair and installation. This role is designed to help you earn your Safelite SafeTech certification while emphasizing customer service and quality standards. The position provides a pathway for career advancement and supports your career development in the auto glass industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn and apprentice the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom training
  • Assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Complete jobs timely and maintain high-quality standards
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals
  • Comply with all company policies and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
