Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee position at Safelite is designed for individuals looking to embark on a fulfilling career in auto glass repair and replacement. Trainees will receive hands-on training and classroom instruction to become proficient technicians, ultimately earning the Safelite SafeTech certification.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and standards
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret technical directions
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism
