Overview

As an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will learn to become a proficient auto glass technician through hands-on and classroom training. Upon successful completion of the training program, you will earn a Safelite SafeTech certification and gain essential skills for unsupervised glass repair, replacement, and recalibration, embodying a customer-focused attitude.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and complete diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals
  • Perform duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
