Overview

As an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you'll receive hands-on training to complete repairs, replacements, and recalibrations of vehicle glass. This role combines technical skills with customer service, ensuring safety and quality in every task performed at the shop or in the mobile service offerings.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently and safely
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Operate Safelite's tools and technologies effectively
  • Communicate with customers in-person, via text, and on the phone
  • Clean customer vehicles after every job
  • Present and promote Safelite services and promotional items
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
