Overview

The Boyd Group is seeking a Licensed Auto Body Technician to join their team in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This role involves performing structural and non-structural repairs on vehicles, as well as collaborating with team members to meet key performance indicators in collision and glass services. Key responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Repair damage to vehicle body panels
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles
  • Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and accessories
  • Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to vehicles
  • Assess and repair structural components of vehicles
  • Utilize frame equipment effectively
  • Apply new knowledge and skills to improve quality and productivity
  • Take responsibility for outcomes and seek continuous learning opportunities

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)
  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program
  • Red Seal or 310B preferred
  • I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own toolbox
