Overview

The Auto Body Refinisher at The Boyd Group is responsible for refinishing vehicles to ensure quality collision repairs. With over 30 years of experience, Assured Automotive, part of The Boyd Group, offers opportunities for growth, training, and a supportive work environment in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The role includes paint mixing, colour matching, and collaborating with teammates to achieve performance goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of the Wow Operating Way plan
  • Inspect body and prep repairs for deficiencies affecting the refinish process
  • Correct paint deficiencies through wet sanding and polishing
  • Prepare surface for paint using hand and power tools
  • Review damage reports and complete repairs as needed
  • Perform vehicle masking, priming, and top coating
  • Accurately mix paint for quality colour matches
  • Take responsibility for personal outcomes and seek learning opportunities

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a collision repair facility
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Red Seal Certification preferred
  • I-Car Registered preferred
  • PPG Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
