Job Summary We are seeking a self-starting, energetic and detail-oriented Attorney specializing in Municipal Defense Litigation to join our trial team. In this role, you will represent municipal clients in complex litigation matters, ensuring effective defense strategies while maintaining the highest standards of legal excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful work that influences the local community, governance and public policy. We are ideally seeking someone with 5-8 years of experience. Responsibilities Co-Manage a diverse caseload, including premises liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, dangerous condition etc Develop and execute strategic defense plans for municipalities facing lawsuits. Conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity. Negotiate favorable outcomes with opposing counsel while maintaining professional integrity. Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials with confidence and professionalism. Collaborate with clients, experts, and trial team to ensure comprehensive case management and adherence to deadlines. Skills Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable resolutions efficiently. Excellent legal drafting and writing skills that clearly articulate complex legal concepts.
