Our client, a growing Houston area law firm, seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join their litigation team and assist with research, writing and depositions. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex civil litigation matters and an interest in supporting a diverse practice that includes oil and gas, maritime, and general trial litigation. This position offers the opportunity to take on substantive responsibility in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive bar license and in good standing with the Texas State BarMinimum of three (3) to six (6) years of defense litigation experienceExperience in one or more of the following practice areas required: oil and gas litigation, maritime or admiralty law, commercial or general civil litigationStrong legal research, analytical, and writing skillsExperience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responsesAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational and communication skillsExperience with federal and state court procedures Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Managing assigned caseload through all phases of litigationDrafting pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memorandaConducting legal research and preparing case strategy recommendationsTaking and defending depositionsAssisting with and participating in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trialsPreparing witnesses and trial exhibitsCommunicating with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnelEnsuring compliance with court rules, scheduling orders, and deadlinesSupporting senior attorneys and partners in complex litigation matters Please reference job ID .About R.L.
