State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company is seeking an Attorney to join their Claim Litigation office in Sacramento, California. This role involves providing high-quality legal services, handling litigation cases, and participating in various legal events while maintaining ownership of assigned files in a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle litigation and other legal assignments per Law Department guidelines
  • Prepare and summarize reports for legal proceedings
  • Participate in trial strategy and case development
  • Attend litigation events including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings

Required skills

  • 1+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers compensation
  • Knowledge of local and state discovery rules and trial procedures
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with trial, mediation, and depositions
  • Familiarity with electronic case management and document storage systems
  • Active law license to practice in California
