Overview

As an Athletic Trainer at TriHealth, you will play a vital role in shaping the health and performance of student athletes while being part of a dedicated sports medicine team. Your expertise will ensure athletes prevent injuries, recover correctly, and return to their beloved sports, making a lasting impact during their formative years.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide injury prevention, treatment, reconditioning, and immediate care for athletes
  • Carry out treatments and recommendations from physicians
  • Maintain proper documentation of injury status and care
  • Collaborate with team physicians and healthcare providers
  • Instruct athletes in therapeutic exercises and wellness programs
  • Evaluate and assess athlete conditions and injuries
  • Promote injury prevention and wellness education
  • Cover assigned games and events under supervision
  • Stay updated with current standards of practice and trends
  • Maintain BOC certification and state licensure

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training
  • Entry-level experience (up to 1 year)
  • NATABOC certification upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Licensed in the state of practice
  • Knowledge of growth and development principles
  • Ability to provide patient care in emergency situations
  • Skills in taping, bracing, and fitting athletic equipment
