Overview

The Athletic Trainer position at Lee Health for the Lee County School District involves providing athletic training services to student-athletes across various sports in a collaborative environment. The role emphasizes injury prevention, treatment, and collaboration with coaches and medical professionals to support athlete safety and performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school Activities/Athletic Directors to develop injury prevention and treatment programs
  • Establish schedules for first responders to ensure athletic event coverage
  • Coordinate sports physicals for student-athletes
  • Maintain communication with coaches, administrators, and parents regarding injuries and rehabilitation
  • Ensure equitable coverage across sports and enforce relevant policies
  • Participate in athletic testing and performance initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletics or related field
  • Valid Florida Athletic Trainers License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with industry-standard computer applications
  • Effective analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
