Overview

Lee Health is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to join their team supporting student-athletes within Lee County Schools. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration and continuous education while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring athlete safety across various sports.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school Activities/Athletic Directors to develop injury prevention and treatment programs
  • Establish schedules for first responders to ensure athletic event coverage
  • Coordinate sports physicals for student-athletes
  • Maintain regular communication regarding injuries, rehabilitation, and return-to-play participation
  • Conduct timely injury reporting and insurance documentation
  • Deliver athlete education and conditioning programs
  • Enforce policies related to tobacco, alcohol, and drugs
  • Participate in athletic testing and performance initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletics or a related field
  • Experience with industry-standard computer applications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid Florida Athletic Trainers License
  • Analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and with diverse groups
