Job Description

Overview

Lee Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Athletic Trainer to join their team supporting local student-athletes in the Lee County School District. This full-time position emphasizes injury prevention, treatment, and collaboration with a wide range of sports teams while prioritizing exceptional patient care and work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school Activities/Athletic Directors to develop injury prevention and treatment programs
  • Establish schedules for first responders to ensure athletic event coverage
  • Coordinate sports physicals for student-athletes
  • Maintain communication with coaches, administrators, physicians, parents, and students regarding injuries and rehabilitation
  • Conduct athlete education and conditioning programs
  • Enforce School Board and FHSAA policies related to substance use
  • Participate in athletic testing and performance initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelors degree in Athletics or a related field
  • Valid Florida Athletic Trainers License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with industry-standard computer applications
  • Analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and with diverse groups
