Overview

Lee Health is seeking a passionate Athletic Trainer to support student-athletes in Lee County Schools. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive injury prevention and treatment programs in collaboration with various sports organizations, enhancing athlete safety and performance in a supportive team-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school Activities/Athletic Directors on injury prevention and treatment programs
  • Establish schedules for athletic event coverage
  • Coordinate sports physicals for student-athletes
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders regarding injuries and rehabilitation
  • Conduct athlete education and conditioning programs
  • Report injuries and manage insurance documentation
  • Participate in athletic testing and performance initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletics or related field
  • Valid Florida Athletic Trainers License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with industry-standard computer applications
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
