Job Description

Overview

As an Athletic Trainer at Endeavor Health, you will collaborate with physicians to enhance patient activity and participation, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions related to muscles and bones. This full-time position will be based in Kildeer and Arlington Heights, requiring travel based on department needs, with no current weekend requirements but potential in the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Fit patients with casts, braces, crutches, and durable medical equipment
  • Provide patient services based on physical, psychological, and educational criteria
  • Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and families
  • Document in the EMR utilizing standardized protocols
  • Perform laboratory and diagnostic tests and document results
  • Develop and implement therapeutic exercise plans and educational materials
  • Ensure compliance with quality measures and regulatory bodies
  • Participate in clinical projects and assist with marketing initiatives
  • Maintain clinic cleanliness and manage supply inventory
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with front office activities
  • Communicate with the clinical team regarding patient status and tasks completed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • CPR/BLS Certification from American Heart Association
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) certification or Licensed Athletic Trainer in Illinois
  • Experience with casting and DME splinting
  • Preferred experience in sports medicine or therapeutic environments
  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and clinical competence
