Overview

Boos & Associates is seeking an Assurance Senior Manager for their Long Beach office to oversee and manage multiple audit engagements primarily for privately held companies across various industries. The role emphasizes leadership, expertise in financial statement accuracy, and developing strong client relationships amidst the firm's ongoing growth and expansion.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple audit engagements
  • Advise clients on economic and regulatory risks
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and ensure GAAP/GAAS compliance
  • Write technical consultation memos on GAAP/GAAS issues
  • Document, validate, test, and assess financial reporting control systems
  • Lead and develop diverse teams
  • Facilitate client relationship building and development
  • Manage engagement profitability including billings and collections

Required skills

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent
  • MBA/Masters in Accountancy preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Extensive experience in external auditing, preferably in Big 4 or National accounting firm
  • Active US CPA license or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong GAAP and GAAS knowledge
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and team management skills
