Overview

Boos & Associates is looking for an experienced Assurance Manager to join their Long Beach, CA office. This role involves supervising audit engagements, providing client consulting, and ensuring profitable engagements while leading a team of associates. The Assurance Manager will also focus on business development and client relationships within the accounting industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, and review audit engagements
  • Ensure engagement profitability involving billings and collections
  • Advise clients on accounting issues and regulatory risks
  • Draft financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Review work prepared by audit staff and provide feedback
  • Provide on-the-job training and development for team members
  • Conduct business development and networking activities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics
  • 6+ years of relevant audit experience
  • Active US CPA license or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Sound knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in client development and relationship building
