Job Description

Overview

The Associate Pastor/Youth Director at Holly Spring Friends Meeting is responsible for mentoring young people within the church, leading youth and young adult programs, and coordinating efforts with the overall church ministry. This role includes assisting the Pastor in various aspects of ministry and developing outreach opportunities within the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Mentor youth and young adults in the church
  • Lead weekly youth meetings with defined goals and plans
  • Assist the Pastor in worship services and preach during youth Sundays
  • Conduct intentional visitation of children/youth and their families
  • Develop and implement outreach opportunities with the Park Outreach Team
  • Provide a balanced program in education, service, fundraising, and recreation
  • Evaluate the needs and interests of the youth and young adult ministry
  • Build relationships through involvement in VBS and other children's ministries
  • Communicate regularly with the Senior Pastor and Ministry & Counsel
  • Develop a budget for programming needs
  • Attend Atlantic Friends Christian Ministries activities

Required skills
