Working closely with the Communications and Outreach team, thisentry-levelroleassistsmultiple partnerswithpre-production, logistics, documentation, participant communications, and on-site execution, including audio/visual and technical support, whilecontributing to cross-functional planning efforts that advance Ripple Effects work.ResponsibilitiesSupport theplanning and execution of meetings and events, including pre-production, on-site delivery, and post-event wrap-up activitiesCollaborate closely with the Communications and Outreach teamand other project stafftocomplete assigned event and administrative tasks andensure events align with organizational goals, messaging, and client objectivesCoordinate eventlogistics, including venueresearch andselection, registration, travel, catering, materials,shipping,and on-site staffingSupportaudio/visual, technical, and hybrid/virtual event requirements by working with internal teams, vendors, and external partnersAssistwith developingandmaintainingdetailed event plans, checklists, timelines, run-of-show documents, and contingency plansSupportcommunicationswithevent stakeholders, partners, vendors, and service providers throughout the planning processunder the guidance of the event or project leadSupport cross-functional coordination byassistingwith related tasks such as content development, speaker management,participant communications, scheduling, meeting materials, note taking, action-item tracking, and file organizationTake ownership of assigned tasks,follow through, and providetimelyupdates on progress or roadblocks.RequirementsMinimum Education and Experience:Bachelor's DegreeBasic Requirements:Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines,andcommunicate early whenprioritiesortimelinesconflict.Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, includingtheability tomaintaintrackers, checklists, files, notes,andstatusupdatesfor staff and leadership.Interestin learning how to coordinatein-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including the use of virtual meeting software (e.g.,Zoom and Teams).Experience through work, internships, school, volunteer activities, hospitality, or customer service is helpful but notrequired.Excellent verbal andclear, professionalwrittencommunicationskills forinteractions with clients (including event speakers and attendees),coworkers, and leadership.Basicexperience with Microsoft Office productivity software and collaboration tools such as Excel, Microsoft Teams,and SharePoint.Willingnesstolearnproject andeventmanagement and design software such as Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project, and AdobeCreative Suite.Resourceful self-starter who is willing to research unfamiliar tasks, propose a practical 90% solution, and seek guidance when needed.Ability toassistwitheventsetupandteardownand carry or maneuver event materials,withorwithoutreasonable accommodation. Some items may weigh upto50pounds.Ability to attend onsite meetings on a regular basis in the DC Metro area.
