Associate Mechanical Engineering LeadLocation: Houston, TXWork Arrangement: HybridSalary: $147,000 $190,000 BaseEmployment: Full-TimeElite Talent Connect is seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineering Lead for an exciting opportunity with a leading global engineering and design organization in Houston, Texas.This is a senior-level leadership opportunity for an accomplished Mechanical Engineer / PE with extensive experience in HVAC, MEP building systems, and healthcare/hospital projects.The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project leadership, client management, team development, and business development responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical/HVAC engineering design for complex building projects, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities.Lead the design of airside HVAC, heating and cooling hydronic systems, central plant systems, specialty exhaust, and related mechanical systems.Serve as Mechanical Lead and/or Project Manager on multidisciplinary projects.Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, technical quality, and client expectations.Coordinate with architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural, and other engineering disciplines.Lead and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.Develop and maintain strong client relationships.Participate in proposals, presentations, project pursuits, and business-development activities.Support the continued development and growth of the Houston mechanical engineering team.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.12+ years of professional engineering experience.Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license.Extensive HVAC and mechanical building-systems design experience.Strong experience with airside and hydronic HVAC systems.Significant experience with healthcare facilities, hospitals, inpatient environments, or complex healthcare projects.Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.Project and team leadership experience.Strong client-facing communication skills.Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.Preferred BackgroundParticular consideration will be given to candidates with experience involving:Hospitals and academic medical centersInpatient and critical-care environmentsCentral utility plantsComplex hydronic systemsSpecialty exhaust systemsSustainable/high-performance building designHealthcare facility design standardsClient development and work-winningLeading and developing mechanical engineering teamsCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $147,000 $190,000, depending on experience and qualifications.This is a hybrid position based in Houston, Texas, offering the opportunity to join a highly respected global engineering environment while taking a significant leadership role in complex healthcare and institutional projects.Comprehensive benefits and additional employee programs are available.ApplyIf you are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with an active PE license, strong HVAC/building-systems expertise, healthcare project experience, and engineering leadership experience, we would like to hear from you.All applications and conversations will be handled confidentially.
