Job Description

Overview

BHE GT&S is seeking an Associate LNG Technician, LNG Technician, or Sr LNG Technician for their Cove Point facility in Lusby, Maryland. This role involves operating and maintaining the LNG terminal processes and utilities while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental protocols in a rotational shift environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate LNG terminal processes and utilities as a plant field or control room operator
  • Monitor and perform duties for the loading/unloading of LNG ships
  • Record and evaluate operating performance data
  • Resolve plant problems and improve reliability and safety
  • Train on environmental safety operations and security procedures
  • Analyze chemistry and adjust chemical concentrations as required
  • Conduct site inspections and walk downs, including working at heights
  • Engage in emergency response activities and training

Required skills

  • Experience in an industrial setting, process/product chemical engineering, or power plant operations
  • Knowledge of LNG operations and control room experience
  • Understanding of environmental regulations
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment or process problems
  • Laboratory skills and knowledge of analytical chemistry
  • CPR/First Aid Certification and ability to maintain fit for emergency response activities
