Job Description

Overview

The Associate II Asset Protection role at Staples involves ensuring workplace security and safety, primarily during the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The position focuses on monitoring and managing security operations across multiple fulfillment centers, including the use of CCTV and maintaining compliance with safety training protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep the Asset Protection Manager informed of potential security and safety issues
  • Maintain order and control at the front desk and lobby areas
  • Conduct scanning and bag checks to prevent internal theft
  • Monitor visitor authorization and logging
  • Oversee property security via CCTV and alarm systems
  • Audit physical security systems for functionality
  • Analyze data and conduct video audits to mitigate risk
  • Report unauthorized vehicles or activities in parking areas
  • Notify emergency personnel during emergencies
  • Assist with safety and emergency drills
  • Manage safety training documents and new hire training
  • Monitor inbound and outbound trailer activity
