Job Description

Overview

The Associate II Asset Protection role at Staples involves ensuring workplace security and safety across various facilities during the 2nd shift. The successful candidate will monitor and control access while conducting audits and data analysis to mitigate risks related to shrink and cargo loss.

Key responsibilities

  • Inform the Asset Protection Manager of potential workplace security and safety issues
  • Maintain control of the front desk, lobby areas, and switchboard
  • Prevent internal theft by scanning and bag checking employees and visitors
  • Monitor visitor authorization and escorting in the lobby
  • Oversee property via CCTV and alarm systems to respond to incidents
  • Audit physical security systems to ensure functionality
  • Conduct data analysis and video audits to mitigate risk
  • Monitor parking lot for unauthorized activity and report to leadership
  • Notify emergency personnel in case of emergencies
  • Assist with safety, emergency crisis, and evacuation drills
  • Ensure compliance measures are followed by associates and vendors
  • Manage safety training documentation for new hires and annual refreshers
  • Monitor trailer activity in the trailer yard
