About the Position The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) protects consumers, the public interest, and Washington's economy through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry. The Financial Analysis Team is looking for an Associate Financial Analyst (Financial Examiner 2)who knows how to look beyond the numbers. This is a role for a financial professional who enjoys analyzing financial statements, evaluating risk, identifying trends, and asking the questions that uncover what the numbers really mean. You'll apply your accounting and auditing expertise to examine insurance company financial filings, assess financial condition and risk, evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop recommendations that support sound regulatory decisions. You'll work alongside experienced financial examiners and collaborate with regulators, legal professionals, and industry representatives across Washington and the country.
