Job Description

Overview

The Associate Director for Plastic Building & Construction Programs at the American Chemistry Council will be responsible for managing and coordinating programs that support the B&C team's member-driven initiatives. This role includes overseeing major events such as the Building Fire Safety Symposium and directing activities for the Foam Sheathing Committee, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of programs under the North American Modern Building Alliance.
  • Manage planning and execution of the annual Building Fire Safety Symposium.
  • Coordinate internal and external processes for B&C programs.
  • Direct and manage member committees and working groups.
  • Support day-to-day operations of B&C programs and initiatives.
  • Draft and manage presentations, reports, and communications.
  • Manage external consultants and vendors for assigned portfolios.
  • Support financial tracking and reporting for B&C programs.
  • Track program activities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain and update program records and internal tracking tools.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in program management or project coordination
  • Experience supporting policy or advocacy initiatives
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with stakeholder and committee management
