Overview

The Associate Director, External Data Acquisition Lead (EDAL) at Genmab is a leadership role focused on managing the integration and quality of external clinical data from various providers for clinical trials. This position requires expertise in external data management and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with scientific and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead external data acquisition and ensure timely, high-quality data aligned with trial objectives
  • Influence protocol and amendment development related to external data collection design
  • Oversee external data flow strategies and ensure compliant integration of diverse data types
  • Develop and manage Trial Data Integrity Plans (TDIP) and Data Transfer Specifications (DTS)
  • Review vendor budgets and manage complex vendor issues
  • Mentor and guide junior team members
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives for SOP development and process improvement
  • Partner with legal and vendor managers to ensure contract alignment with company standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical area
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical data management and vendor oversight
  • Expertise in designing data flow strategies supporting EDC integration and CDISC standards
  • Knowledge of diverse external data types such as biomarker and imaging datasets
  • Experience in project management and global process improvements
