Overview

The University of Cincinnati's School of Information Technology is seeking an Associate Director for Student Success. The role entails leading initiatives to enhance student success and retention, managing various programs, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders within the university. This position emphasizes a commitment to student success and innovation in an academic environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the Student Success Functional Team including various academic programs
  • Manage student emergency fund requests and computer policy
  • Strategize recruitment efforts in partnership with the CECH recruitment office
  • Oversee retention strategies and scholarship programs for first-year students
  • Act as a liaison to the grant principal investigator for Choose Ohio First scholar recipients
  • Ensure the successful transition of Early IT high school students to college
  • Serve on the School's Leadership Team and represent student success initiatives
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making and ensure alignment across student success initiatives
  • Maintain relationships with college and university offices regarding student success

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Five years of relevant experience in academic advising or student success
  • Experience with university administrative functions and academic programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Office Applications such as Exchange, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience supervising staff in higher education settings
