Overview

The Associate Cardiac Technician will examine heartbeat patterns using electrocardiograph monitors to identify abnormal heart rhythms and assist physicians in emergency responses. This full-time position at the Marshfield Clinic involves recording heart electrical activities and ensuring the quality of recorded materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine heartbeat patterns on EKG monitors to detect abnormal rhythms
  • Assist physicians in emergency responses to heart irregularities
  • Observe EKG monitors and identify abnormal variations in heart rhythms
  • Recognize emergency situations and inform physicians for immediate action
  • Record heart's electrical activities using an EKG monitor
  • Check the quality of recorded material
  • Order and stock supplies as necessary
  • Print EKG reports for physician interpretation and diagnosis
