Overview

Gordon Feinblatt LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Trusts and Estates Practice Group in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves overseeing estate administration, trust administration, and estate planning, requiring a candidate with significant experience in managing large estates and drafting related documents.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of the probate process
  • Prepare federal and state estate tax returns
  • Run tax projections and coordinate income tax return preparations
  • Prepare fiduciary accountings and manage distributions to beneficiaries
  • Conduct tax planning and prepare fiduciary income tax returns
  • Draft sophisticated estate planning documents and ancillary materials
  • Interfacing with clients and outside advisors to implement estate plans
  • Assume significant responsibility for clients and projects

Required skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in estate administration and trusts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience first chairing projects
  • Ability to manage client relationships
  • Knowledge of estate planning and tax law
