Overview

Gordon Feinblatt LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Trusts and Estates Practice Group in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves handling various aspects of estate and trust administration, including probate processes, tax planning, and preparation of estate planning documents, while also developing client relationships and business generation.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of the probate process
  • Prepare federal and state estate tax returns
  • Run tax projections and coordinate income tax return preparation
  • Prepare fiduciary accountings and manage distributions to beneficiaries
  • Draft sophisticated estate planning documents
  • Interface with clients and outside advisors to implement plans
  • Assume significant responsibility for client projects

Required skills

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in estate administration and trust administration
  • Experience drafting various types of estate planning documents
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for business generation
  • Experience first chairing projects
