Overview

Gordon Feinblatt LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Trusts and Estates Practice Group in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including estate administration, trust administration, and estate planning, requiring strong communication and project management skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of the probate process
  • Prepare federal and state estate tax returns
  • Run various tax projections
  • Coordinate preparation of income tax returns for individuals and fiduciaries
  • Prepare fiduciary accountings and distributions to beneficiaries
  • Engage in tax planning and coordinate fiduciary income tax return preparation
  • Prepare sophisticated estate planning documents and ancillary transactional documents
  • Interface with clients and outside advisors to implement plans

Required skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in administering large and complex estates
  • Experience with all types of trusts
  • Drafting estate planning documents
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for business generation
  • First chair project management experience
