Associates in this group enjoy direct interaction with clients, as well as domestic and international insurers handling high-exposure and latent-type claims. Candidate Profile JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic recordActive Bar Admission in New York, in good standing36 years of substantive litigation experienceExperience defending premises liability, general liability, catastrophic injury, hospitality, transportation or negligent security mattersBackground handling New York Labor Law claims strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to take and defend depositionsSuperior legal writing, analytical, and research skillsExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work directly with insurer clients and insuredsMotivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities Manage a litigation caseload of approximately 2530 mattersTake and defend depositions, and participate in hearings and mediationsDraft and argue motions, and prepare pleadings and briefsPrepare detailed correspondence and reporting to clients and carrier representativesConduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research toolsPrepare and respond to written discovery requestsReview, analyze, and organize documents and materials for productionInvestigate claims, develop case strategy, and assess liability and exposureAssist in trial and mediation preparation and participate as neededCollaborate with partners, clients, and cross-functional teams to advance case objectives Why Join Us?
