Overview

Rudman & Winchell LLC is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney in Transactions to join their Commercial Real Estate and Corporate sections in Bangor, Maine. The role involves providing strategic legal counsel on various transactional matters, including real estate acquisitions, entity formations, and mergers and acquisitions, all within a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist clients with real estate transactions, entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, and contract negotiation
  • Collaborate with peers in other practice areas to provide comprehensive legal services
  • Follow ethical requirements and maintain client confidentiality
  • Monitor account receivables
  • Participate in marketing efforts and client development
  • Review and analyze assigned work to provide legal representation
  • Ensure accuracy of correspondence and legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and formulate legal opinions
  • Advise clients on the status of matters
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Maine
  • Experience in real estate law and corporate law
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience managing multiple matters and deadlines
