We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Public Entity law to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal services to a broad range of public entities, including cities, counties, and special districts. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging legal issues that affect public entities and the communities they serve. Responsibilities: As an Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1. Providing legal counsel to public entities on a wide range of issues, including land use, labor, and employment matters. 2. Drafting and reviewing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents. 3. Representing public entities in litigation, administrative proceedings, and negotiations. 4. Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions on complex issues of municipal law. 5. Advising public entities on compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. 6. Participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the legal compliance and efficiency of public entities. 7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide high-quality legal services to our clients. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications: 1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. 3. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in public entity law, with a focus on municipal law, land use, labor, and employment matters. 4. Demonstrated experience providing legal counsel to public entities, including cities, counties, and special districts. 5. Strong legal research and writing skills. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys. 7. Ability to handle a high-volume workload and manage multiple cases with competing deadlines. 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
