Overview

The Gori Law Firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their Mass Tort Team in Edwardsville, Illinois. The role involves representing individuals injured by dangerous products and devices, and requires handling legal research, court appearances, and case management.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent individuals injured by dangerous products and devices
  • Conduct legal research and drafting of pleadings
  • Appear in court as needed
  • Assist with discovery preparation and review
  • Maintain communication with clients and defense counsel
  • Manage a large client volume and delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants

Required skills

  • 1-3 years of attorney experience
  • Personal injury experience preferred
  • Competent to expert knowledge of legal procedures and processes
  • Legal research and writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
  • Self-motivated and well-organized
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic abilities
  • Compassion for helping injured clients
  • Ability to learn client and document management systems
  • Licensed to practice law, preferably in Missouri and/or Illinois
