Overview

The Gori Law Firm is seeking an Associate Deposition Attorney to join their Deposition Team in Edwardsville, Illinois. This role involves representing clients injured by asbestos, preparing and conducting depositions, and gathering information through interviews with clients and witnesses.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent clients injured by exposure to asbestos
  • Prepare assigned asbestos disease cases in a team environment
  • Conduct client and witness interviews, both in person and on the phone
  • Gather and analyze information from records such as Social Security, Medical, Military, and Union records
  • Prepare and conduct depositions of fact witnesses
  • Summarize testimony from fact witness depositions

Required skills

  • 2-10 years of attorney experience, preferably in deposition or trial
  • Competent to expert knowledge of legal procedures and processes
  • Experience in legal research and writing
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and well-organized
  • Ability to problem solve and strategize
  • Compassion for helping terminally sick clients
  • Adaptability to client needs based on health status
