Job Description: Job Description The Staff Pad has partnered with a fast-growing, multi-state law firm that delivers high quality legal services in civil litigation, private, real estate and business law and we are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Associate to join their growing Texas litigation team in Dallas. The ideal candidate is someone who is ready to take meaningful ownership of cases, work directly with clients, independently manage significant portions of matters, and continue developing as a well-rounded litigator while collaborating with senior attorneys on strategy, complex matters, and professional development. The attorney may work on matters involving: Real estate litigation, Construction and construction-defect disputes, Business and commercial litigation, Contract disputes, Partnership and ownership conflicts, Employment-related litigation, Defamation matters, Landlord-tenant and property disputes, pre-litigation demands and negotiations & General civil litigation Experience in every practice area is not required-strong civil litigation experience, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to quickly learn new subject matter are key. Schedule: Full-Time Exempt Hybrid- In-Office Days with Remote Flexibility What You'll Do Key ResponsibilitiesManage civil litigation matters and substantial portions of cases from initial assessment through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documentsConduct legal research and provide practical legal analysisManage written discovery, document production, and case investigationTake and defend depositions based on experience and case needsPrepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trialsCommunicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, deadlines, and next stepsEvaluate legal and factual issues and help develop case strategiesNegotiate with opposing counsel and assist with settlement discussionsCoordinate with paralegals and legal support staff to keep matters organized and moving forwardMaintain deadlines and manage multiple active matters effectivelyCollaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation and case strategyDevelop greater independence and courtroom responsibility as experience growsContribute to the continued growth of the firm's litigation practice What We're Looking For Qualifications & Experience Deposition and courtroom experience are strongly valued, but candidates whose overall litigation background demonstrates strong potential for continued growth will also be encouraged.Active Texas bar admission in good standingApproximately 3-5 years of civil litigation experienceExperience drafting substantive pleadings, motions, and discoveryExperience managing litigation deadlines and case responsibilitiesExposure to depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation Additional Skills & Attributes:Strong client communication, legal writing, research, and analytical skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesSound judgment, professionalism, and willingness to seek input when appropriatePractical, collaborative, and low-ego working styleInterest in developing greater case ownership and courtroom responsibilityDesire to contribute to the growth of a developing Texas practice Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary depending on experience and qualificationsTiered performance-based bonus opportunityMedical, Dental & Vision insurance401 (k)Paid Time OffProfessional development assistanceHybrid work flexibility If you are looking to take on greater responsibility and grow as a litigator, this opportunity offers meaningful case ownership, direct client interaction, courtroom exposure, collaboration with experienced attorneys, and a clear path toward increased responsibility and senior-level growth.
