This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking to develop and expand their employment litigation experience while handling substantive legal work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Attorney will focus heavily on employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff cases and representative actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Responsibilities will include:Managing an active caseload of employment litigation mattersHandling single-plaintiff employment cases and PAGA lawsuitsDrafting and responding to written discoveryTaking and defending depositionsDrafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documentsConducting legal research and preparing case analysesDeveloping litigation strategies and assisting with case evaluationPreparing for and attending court hearings, mediations, and other proceedingsCommunicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties throughout the litigation processManaging case deadlines and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and proceduresQualificationsActive license to practice law in the State of California and in good standingMinimum of 1+ years of relevant employment law experienceExperience handling employment litigation matters strongly preferredStrong legal research, analytical, and writing skillsExperience drafting discovery, motions, briefs, and pleadingsAbility to independently manage a caseload and meet litigation deadlinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
