Overview

ZaphyrRecruit is seeking an Associate Attorney for a well-established general practice law firm in Missouri. This role is designed for a junior to mid-level attorney (0-7 years experience) who will gain exposure across litigation and transactional work while collaborating closely with experienced attorneys in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and conduct client meetings
  • Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, briefs, and communications
  • Handle court appearances and litigation matters
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to learn firm practices and client approach
  • Collaborate with support staff and internal teams
  • Maintain a consistent caseload and meet billable expectations

Required skills

  • Active Missouri Bar License
  • 0-7 years of legal experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Business-minded approach to legal practice
  • Willingness to work beyond standard office hours
  • Courtroom or litigation experience (or strong interest in litigation)
  • Strong writing and drafting skills
