Overview

Barnes, Bailey, Janoush & Dick, P.A. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join their growing practice in Biloxi, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in estate and business planning, tax work, and transactional law, and will work on a variety of complex legal matters in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft and administer complex estate plans, wills, and trusts
  • Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies and tax planning
  • Manage probate and trust administration matters
  • Structure and document business formations and agreements
  • Execute mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations
  • Conduct due diligence and deal documentation
  • Provide federal and state tax advice
  • Advise on entity liquidations and tax-deferred transactions
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex client matters

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Mississippi
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax principles
  • Proficiency in drafting legal instruments
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client matters
  • Professional communication skills
