Overview

I.C. Amadioha Law Firm is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join their child welfare practice in Vancouver, Washington. This role involves representing children and parents in the juvenile dependency system and requires strong legal research, drafting skills, and litigation experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent clients through all phases of child welfare proceedings, including hearings and trials
  • Meet regularly with children and parents in a trauma-informed manner
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and trial briefs, and engage in the discovery process
  • Communicate and collaborate with DCFY to facilitate case resolution
  • Travel to clients' locations for in-person visits and meetings

Required skills

  • Experience in child welfare law (willing to train)
  • Legal research and drafting skills

  • Familiarity with court procedures
  • Bar admission in Washington state (or eligibility for admission)
