Overview

Cassiday Schade LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney with over three years of legal experience to join their St. Louis, MO office. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment alongside over 100 attorneys, focusing on integrity and professional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery
  • Conduct legal research
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Review client documents and draft case evaluations
  • Prepare status report correspondence
  • Assist with mediations, pretrial settlement conferences, and court appearances
  • Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff
  • Manage a substantive case load

Required skills

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri
  • Proficient with Lexis and MS Office
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience navigating hearings in state and federal court
